Biography and Autobiography Unit
What is a biography?
Bio means life.
Graph means writing.
Biographical
writing is about someone else’s life. It is about a real person but written by
someone else in third person.
A A biography contains key details of a person’s life. We use our question words to
help organise ideas:
Where they lived
When
they lived
How they lived
What they did and why
It
is written in chronological order. It can be about a living or
a dead person.
A biography provides information about the important events in a person's life.
A
biography will also talk about how the
person feels and the
emotions they
show.
What is an autobiography?
An autobiography is the writing about a person's life written by the person himself or herself. It is written in first person (pronouns such as I, me, my myself, we, us our).
