Biography and Autobiography Unit

What is a biography?
Bio means life.
Graph means writing.
Biographical writing is about someone else’s life. It is about a real person but written by someone else in third person.
A A biography contains key details of a person’s life. We use our question words to help organise ideas:
Where they lived
When they lived
How they lived
What they did and why

It is written in chronological order. It can be about a living or a dead person.

A biography provides information about the important events in a person's life.
A biography will also talk about how the person feels and the emotions they show.

What is an autobiography?
An autobiography is the writing about a person's life written by the person himself or herself. It is written in first person (pronouns such as I, me, my myself, we, us our).
